Cisco vs FSF GPL Violation

I picked this up off of Slashdot. It appears that Cisco/Linksys has been violating the GPL license of various GNU tools that it uses in its Linksys products. For the last five years the Free Software Foundation has been attempting to work with Cisco to remedy this matter.  Cisco is required, under the GPL, to release the source code of the tools along with the source code of tools that link to (make use of) the GNU GPL’d tools. The Free Software Foundation has filed suit.

This is somewhat big for me as my day job requires me to design, configure, and install Cisco powered networks. I’m hoping Cisco comes to their senses.
